What is MICRO NEEDLING?

* Acne
* Acne Scarring
* Scarring
* Wrinkles / Fine lines
* Stretch Marks
* Pigmentation / Sun Damage
* Tired Dull complexion

Micro-needling is a type of treatment that uses small needles to cause tiny punctures in the skin. These small contact points encourage the body to create a wound healing response and renew the skin cells. As your skin repairs, the production of collagen and elastin is triggered to give an almost immediate plumping effect. It can also help tackle other skin damage such as scarring, dark marks, sun damage and ageing.

Microneedling is a great treatment for you if you have darker skin because it doesn’t involve peels or lasers, which can cause pigmentation.

Treatments can be performed on the body as well as the face, although prices are based on an area the size of the face.

The best results from Microneedling are seen after a course of treatment. Single treatments of Microneedling are only available to clients who have already purchased a course of three or five treatments.

Best Results – 3 – 5 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart
Mild treatments may be repeated every 2 to 4 weeks. Deep treatments for scars may be repeated every 4 to 6 weeks.
Recovery Time 2-5 Days
Procedure Time 20-60 minutes (depending on area being treated

Little Downtime

The gentle stimulus provided by microneedling is far more “skin friendly” and thus far more effective than many other more invasive and more expensive skin treatments. It leaves the entire epidermal barrier fully intact; micro-channels created will seal within hours of application.

New collagen-structures will form within the lower layers of the skin. The patient may resume their normal schedule, quickly. Microneedling helps to eliminate common negative side effects and risks associated with chemical peeling, dermabrasion, and laser-resurfacing. The skin is left thicker and more readily available for additional treatments.

How long should it take before I see results? You will feel the results of your treatment within the first week, but more significant results will occur over 4 to after.  Your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments and when combined with the recommended post-treatment care.

Is the treatment painful? Cosmetic depth (<0.5 mm) treatments are painless. If you are receiving treatments over 0.5mm deep (medical depth) for acne or other scarring, or for deep lines and wrinkles, a topical numbing cream is applied for 15 minutes, which will provide a pain-free treatment.

How many treatments will I need? This depends upon your skin condition.  If you have minimal damage (younger skin, some lines and no scarring), you may get microneedling treatments as maintenance (every 3-6 months).   3-6 treatments may be required for scarring, sun damage, hyperpigmentation and deep lines and wrinkles (spaced 3-6 weeks apart).  Once you have achieved your desired results, maintenance is recommended to keep your skin thick & to maintain elastin.
